Will Works - Getting To Know Shakespeare - Grades 5-8

Will Works has been written to provide teachers with some innovative approaches for introducing students to the work of William Shakespeare.  These three high-interest areas provide the framework for starting a study of Will’s works:  The Supernatural, Crimes and Criminals and Women In Shakespeare.

Text snippets and longer extracts from a range of plays highlight points about language, common themes, social contexts, characters, story and humor.  Students are invited to act out, design, read, write, think and work in groups on a range of engaging activities.
