New November 2025!
What’s something that used to scare you but doesn’t anymore?
How can you calm yourself before talking about a problem?
Learning through questioning is an age-old way of learning. This book contains over 400 questions to encourage creativity and get to know your students better.
Trauma-informed questions are developed with keeping in mind that certain topics may trigger a child who may have experienced trauma or just might be sensitive to certain topics. We created prompts that are more general/open-ended as to not force a child to work with a prompt that makes them uncomfortable.
For example: Instead of asking, “What was the best time you had with your mother?” We ask, “What is a wonderful time you experienced with an adult in your life?”
You can use these questions when working with children through:
Discussions / Critical thinking / Writing prompts / Team building / Providing social-emotional support / Building community AND Just getting to know your students better
