Easy to use and time efficient (10-15 minutes per day), these daily activities may strengthen reading comprehension and prepare students for achievement testing. Reading selections have been created using the Flesch Kincaid readability formula and include a "leveling chart" and tracking sheet for further assessment. Each book contains 150 daily readings with comprehension questions targeting a variety of reading skills and strategies. Five topic areas include: Interesting Places and Events, Scientifically Speaking, From the Past, Did you know? and Fascinating People.     Comprehension questions focus on a variety of activities including: recall, main idea, supporting details, cause and effect, sequencing, vocabulary and context clues for new vocabulary, inferences and drawing conclusions. Perforated worksheets are reproducible and an answer key is included.
